Pump Sleeves/Liners
The protection of pump sleeves is a specialised application of Avweld’s skills and unique technical capacity, utilising the advanced Laser Cladding, HVOF and PTA Tungsten Carbide processes.
These advanced technologies are complemented by precision diamond grinding and super-finishing, ensuring the exact surface finish and exceptional wear resistance required for vacuum pump applications. For specific requirements, plasma-sprayed chrome oxide ceramic coatings can also be applied to further enhance performance.
Careful selection of materials and surface finishes maximizes component life while also extending the lifespan of packing materials. With wear reduced to minimal levels, pump efficiency is significantly improved, and reliability can increase to three to four times that of unprotected units.
In addition, these solutions offer outstanding corrosion resistance, with elevated operating temperatures posing no limitation to performance.
Recently upgraded robotic cladding & hardfacing capacity comprising 2 x 40kg 2.7m reach ABB 6-axis robots together on a 10m long track working with 2 x 2-axis 5 tonne robotic positioners.
